Exploring Realms: A Conversation with Author T.H. Moore

3 min read

You relocated from Southwest Philadelphia to Camden, New Jersey, at a young age. How have these diverse environments influenced your writing, particularly in “The End Justifies the Means”?

Southwest and Camden are very similar. Both are inner cities with both good and bad people as your neighbors. There is some crime, and then there are homeowners who work hard to maintain a community in their neighborhoods. The two cities did inspire my debut novel, “The End Justifies the Means,” but most of the story takes place in Camden. It’s in this city I delve into a story of a family’s survival amongst crooked politicians, bigoted police, and everyday criminals with their sights on victimizing any and everyone.

The End Justifies the Means” is uniquely creative fiction inspired by your life experiences. Can you tell us more about how your personal experiences informed the story and what messages or themes you aimed to convey in the novel?

The main message or theme I’m trying to deliver is the importance of family and how the choices we make in life directly determine how easy or difficult our lives will ultimately be. But success in life isn’t as simple as making the right decisions. The story also shows that sometimes, life will only be as fair as you and I make it.

“I AM…” follows a young successful African-American couple, police sergeant Xavier and trauma surgeon Sandy, who are forced to pick up the pieces of their marriage after the violent loss of their young godson at the hands of a local police- man. The couple’s tragic loss sparks not only their community’s anger but also the rage of a vigilante. A nationwide killing spree ensues, targeting corrupt police officers, beginning in Texas and spreads to the nation’s capital in Washington, DC where a suspect is ultimately charged. The burden of justice falls upon a DC jury who must deliver the country from the brink of anarchy. Yet, regardless of their verdict, America will never be the same.

T.H. Moore is a Southwest Philadelphia native who relocated to Camden, New Jersey at the age of ten. He’s an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Morgan State University. His career as an Information Technology Consultant and Real-Estate investor has afforded him the opportunity to travel to many countries all over the world as well as the majority of the United States. Blending experience with imagination helped formulate the basis of, and inspired him to write his first novel, The End Justifies the Means.

His second novel, The Devil’s Whisper, is uniquely creative fiction that ventures away from the inspiration of his own life experiences. In The Devil’s Whisper, he dives into a darker set of dual protagonists whose sole objective is to survive the circumstances of the world they live in. T.H. Moore is the proud father of one son, Jason, and currently resides in Maryland where he is working on his first non-fiction book titled, “Survivor’s Remorse”.
