Boss Up Monday: March Is the Momentum Month
1 min read
By mid-March, the energy of New Year’s resolutions has usually faded. The first quarter is winding down, and the second quarter is only weeks away. This stretch of the year quietly determines how the next three months will unfold.
Motivation is unreliable. It appears when things feel exciting and disappears when work becomes routine. Momentum is different. Momentum grows from repeated action, and once it exists, it carries progress forward even on days when motivation is gone.
March is the moment to build that momentum. Waiting until April to begin new goals means starting the second quarter from zero. Work started now creates a foundation that makes the next season easier to sustain.
Consistent action compounds quickly. A few pages written each day become chapters. One article each week becomes a body of work. Small efforts repeated regularly create movement that is difficult to stop.
Momentum rarely feels dramatic while it is happening. Most progress happens quietly through daily effort that no one else sees. Over time, that steady movement becomes visible through finished projects, stronger habits, and new opportunities.
The second quarter is approaching. The most valuable question is not what goals to set, but what momentum should already be in motion before April begins.
